QUT Online’s Graduate Certificate in Gerontology recognises the fundamental health and social care roles of health providers in the aged care sector.

This course is grounded in the scientific understanding of the ageing process, and ensuring high quality of care to the older person that takes into account physical, psychosocial and culturally safe practices.

Upon completing the Graduate Certificate in Gerontology, you will have a practical overview of the important role healthcare services play in responding holistically to the specific needs of the older person. This includes preventative health, chronic illness and injury management, palliative and end-of-life care, and quality and risk management.
