Follow Vessel Security Procedures (Security Awareness Training)
Nationally Recognised Vocational Education and Training (VET)This course is designed for seafarers employed or engaged in any capacity on board a ship which is required to comply with the provisions of the ISPS Code. Security Awareness Training (SAT) is required under International amendments, and was made mandatory from 1st January 2014. This course complies with Code Section A-VI/6 para 4, Table A-VI/1-1, 1-2, 1-3 and 1-4 of STCW 78 as amended, and is approved by AMSA. This course is one of the components required to obtain an AMSA issued Certificate of Safety Training (CoST), which is the minimum mandatory qualification required to serve on board vessels in international waters.
