Executive Master of Business Administration
Nationally Recognised Higher EducationWith the Executive Master of Business Administration (Executive MBA or EMBA), you'll learn in an environment that promotes disruptive thinking, experimentation and engagement beyond the classroom. Entry requirements
Domestic Students
- There are no mandated entry requirements.
Academic Requirements
- An Australian bachelor degree or equivalent, or higher level qualification, in any discipline from a recognised tertiary institution with a minimum grade point average (GPA) of 2.0 (out of 4.0);
- OR
- An Australian bachelor degree or equivalent, or higher level qualification, in any discipline from a recognised tertiary institution and a GMAT overall minimum score of 600;
- OR
- The RMIT Graduate Certificate in Business Administration (Executive).
Work Experience
In addition to the academic requirements, you must provide the following:
- Evidence of a minimum of three years full-time equivalent work experience in a management role with supervisory responsibilities. Applicants will be required to submit a curriculum vitae (CV) that outlines supervision of staff, performance review, and responsibility to budget. In your CV, please also include contact details of two professional referees (e.g., title, position, and email/phone number) such as your previous or current supervisors, employers, human resource departments, co-workers, or professional peers. Referees may be contacted to verify work experience if needed.
- A personal statement (maximum 500 words) outlining a concise explanation of your personal motivation for undertaking Executive MBA studies, and your attitude towards personal reflection and reflective learning; and collaboration and class participation.
- Submit two referee recommendations either from your supervisor or from a professional peer.
Minimum English Language Requirement
Qualifications where the teaching and assessment were entirely in English:
- Victorian Certificate of Education (VCE) - A study score of at least 30 in VCE units 3 and 4 English as an Additional Language (EAL) or at least 25 in English, Literature, or English Language.
- Australian Interstate Year 12 or New Zealand National Certificate of Educational Achievement (NCEA) Level 3 - Achieve a study score in an English course (subject) deemed equivalent to those listed above. Equivalent courses (subjects) can be located on VTAC’s Equivalent prerequisites for interstate and international Baccalaureate (IB) students webpage by selecting the spreadsheet Interstate subject guide to Victorian prerequisites. For New Zealand’s NCEA Level 3, applicants must have achieved 18 credits in the equivalent courses (subjects). Equivalent course (subjects) are assessed on a case-by-case basis.
- Equivalent Overseas Year 12 - Completed an equivalent English course (subject) with the required study scores as listed above.
