From the start of the program, you are given a choice between two distinct pathways:

  1. International Leadership
  2. Complex Program Leadership and Strategic Procurement

The concept of ‘knowing one’s self’ lies at the forefront of the program, facilitating the development of a deep understanding of personal goals and leadership traits.

In addition to self-realization and leadership, the unique model for this Executive MBA program integrates fundamental units with more advanced elements that include:

The program culminates in an international study tour to one of the world's best universities, MIT, or to Europe, undertaking a deep dive with some of the world's largest companies, including Airbus and Pilatus, and honing your abilities to meet the demands of a quickly changing globalized digital economy.

Entry requirements

Domestic Students

  • There are no mandated entry requirements.

You must have a:

  • Recognised bachelor degree in any discipline with a minimum grade point average (GPA) of 4.50 (on QUT's 7-point scale); and
  • Minimum five years full-time post degree work experience with a minimum of three years relevant professional work experience and two years minimum supervisory/management experience.

You must also submit responses to the following mandatory reflective questions:

  • Motivation to complete the QUT MBA
  • Intended contribution to the cohort
  • Work/life/study balance strategy
  • Current leadership philosophy
  • Work experience

Relevant work experience indicates an applicant's capacity to contribute to workshop discussion and the wider student body. To enable us to assess your work experience, a current curriculum vitae providing details of your roles, responsibilities, and achievements is required.

  • Attend an interview with the MBA Director or nominee.
