Diploma of Security Risk Management
Nationally Recognised Vocational Education and Training (VET)This is an advanced qualification in security risk analysis and operational planning for any person with responsibility for developing and implementing security risk operations.
Incorporating ISO 31000:2018, this qualification is a must for security risk consultants, who provide specialist advice on strategies to mitigate risk to people, property and assets, including crowded places, as defined by Australia’s Strategy for Protecting Crowded Places from Terrorism (2017).
Security risk consultants operating at this level work with a high level of autonomy to assess the current threat environment, assess risk management options, and prepare and implement security risk management plans and communication systems to respond to active threats. This training is not just development of risk management plans (theory based), but the actual implementation of your risk management plan, utilising a realistic ‘workplace’ scenario-based operation.

- There are no mandated entry requirements.
You must have excellent computer skills, in terms of preparing word documents and written reports and excellent use of spoken and written English language in terms of syntax, punctuation and English grammar.
You must have at least 1 of these qualifications to complete the Diploma:
- CPP40707 Certificate IV in Security and Risk Management, or
- CPP40719 Certificate IV in Security Management, or
- CPP41519 Certificate IV in Security Risk Analysis
