Diploma of Child, Youth and Family Intervention

This qualification reflects the role of workers in out-of-home care facilities and settings related to child protection and family support work. They may, depending on the focus of their role, supervise other workers and carry out activities related to improvement of personal living and emotional circumstances of a child or young person at risk. They may exercise legal authorities and delegated decision making on relevant statutory matters. To achieve this qualification you must complete 100 hours of work placement.

About Centre for Community Welfare Training

The Centre for Community Welfare Training (CCWT) provides cost effective and accessible training opportunities for people working across the community welfare sector in NSW, in particular those working with vulnerable children, young people and families. CCWT is the training arm of the Association of Children's Welfare Agencies (ACWA), a Registered Training Organisation.

CCWT provides both short courses and In-House training as well as specialised programs, coaching and supervision.
