Entry requirements
Domestic Students
- There are no mandated entry requirements.
- Complete a Basic Key Skills Builder (BKSB) online test to ensure the required literacy and numeracy levels for the course are met.
- Undertake a Pre-training Review by interview to ensure the course suits their needs and aspirations, and that they are likely to complete the course successfully.
- Students applying for the Diploma at GOTAFE must have completed FNS40222 Certificate IV in Accounting & Bookkeeping (or superseded equivalent FNS40217).
- This ensures students have all required Diploma pre-requisite units FNSACC321, FNSACC322, FNSACC418, FNSACC421, or their equivalents.
- At GOTAFE, 2-3 Certificate IV units are listed as electives in the Diploma course, so for those students who have completed the Certificate IV, FNSACC412, FNSACC414 & BSBTEC402 will be credit transferred, and only the remaining 8-9 units in the Diploma will be delivered.
- Where students did not complete their Certificate IV in Accounting and Bookkeeping with GOTAFE a copy of their academic qualification and transcripts must be provided before enrolment, as evidence they have completed the above required units. (If under particular circumstances, students do not have these units - as negotiated with a trainer before enrolment, arrangements will be made to deliver on an individual basis).
