Course in Introduction to the National Disability Insurance Scheme
Nationally Recognised Vocational Education and Training (VET)The Course in Introduction to the National Disability Insurance Scheme provides an introduction to working in the disability workforce. It was created due to the high demand for quality disability support workers.
Currently, over 590,000 Australians receive support under the NDIS. This is projected to be over 640,000 participants by December 2023.
This is a short course and industry-experienced practitioners and people with lived experience with disability support your learning. You will be provided with current first-hand knowledge of the NDIS system and the people it serves. Chisholm has a significant history in delivering accredited education for the disability sector and working with industry bodies to ensure that all courses are current and representative.

Entry requirements
Domestic Students
- There are no mandated entry requirements.
Admission requirements are completion of BKSB assessment with an outcome of ACSF exit level 3 - working level 4, for both literacy and numeracy, Students need a valid Working with Children Check, a national police check, immunisations to undertake practical placement and a NDIS Worker Screening Check., Students need to be able to complete manual tasks associated with therapy assistance and should have a proficient level of physical fitness to be able to complete the course, students need to be at a minimum age of 18 to complete the course.
