Certificate IV in Youth Work
Nationally Recognised Vocational Education and Training (VET)Certificate IV in Youth Work prepares workers to develop and facilitate programs for young people and provides the skills, knowledge and frameworks for effectively supporting young people in a range of community-based programs and settings. On completion you will be able to effectively support young people through a range of community-based programs designed to address the social, behavioural, health, wellbeing, developmental and protection needs of young people.
You will also be able to work alongside youth providing advocacy and serving as a role model for those you support within youth centres, residential settings or community-based programs. This work may be undertaken through employment in community, government and youth sector agencies and workers are responsible for implementing policies and guidelines of the employing organisation. They are largely self-directed with autonomous decision making capacity under the indirect supervision of a manager.
