Certificate IV in Kitchen Management
Nationally Recognised Vocational Education and Training (VET)This qualification reflects the role of chefs and cooks who have a supervisory or team leading role in the kitchen. They operate independently or with limited guidance from others and use discretion to solve non-routine problems.
This qualification provides a pathway to work in organisations such as restaurants, hotels, clubs, pubs, cafes and coffee shops, or to run a small business in these sectors.

Blended
Combine the flexibility of online learning with the support of on campus learning.
Work Placement
Complete mandatory hands-on training in a workplace setting.

Entry requirements
Domestic Students
- There are no mandated entry requirements.
Completed minimum Senior high school equivalent to Australian Year 12
Have an IELTS* score of 5.5 overall, no less than 5.0. English language competence can also be demonstrated through documented evidence of any of the following:
- Completed at least 6 months of a Certificate IV or above qualification as a result of full time study in an Australian College; or
- Completed Certificate III or above qualification as a result of full time study in Australia or
- ELICOS Upper Intermediate level; or
- LLN Placement Test
*Note that other English language tests such as PTE and TOEFL can be accepted. Students are required to provide their results so that it can be confirmed they are equivalent to IELTS 5.5.
Be at least 18 years of age.
