Certificate IV in Engineering
Nationally Recognised Vocational Education and Training (VET)Gain deep engineering skills and graduate as a higher engineering tradesperson within the metal, engineering, manufacturing, and associated industries with the Certificate IV in Engineering.
Students will get the most up-to-date skills with the latest technology. Students will learn diverse engineering skills used in refrigeration and air conditioning, casting and moulding, computer numerically controlled (CNC) programming, fluid power, heavy fabrication, instrumentation, maintenance, plant mechanics, marine electronics, mechatronics, patternmaking, robotics, toolmaking, welding, and watch and clock services.

GOTAFE entry requirements
Complete a Basic Key Skills Builder (BKSB) online test to ensure the required literacy & numeracy levels for the course are met.
Undertake a Pre-training Review by interview to ensure the course suits their needs and aspirations, and that they are likely to complete the course successfully.
General public students require a previous Certificate III in Mechanical or Fabrication Trade or have an extensive engineering background.
