Certificate IV in Emergency Response Coordination

The Certificate IV in Emergency Response Coordination is aimed at experienced Emergency Services (ES) and Emergency Response (ER) personnel who are looking to further their knowledge and career.

This course is particularly suitable for ES/ER Team Leaders, Coordinators, Supervisors and Captains of Resource and Industrial sector ER Teams (ERT).

This qualification hones the role of Emergency Response and Rescue Team Leaders/Coordinators who are working within the resources and industrial industries and who are responsible for leading and performing a broad range of skills, such as discretion and judgement in coordinating personnel, equipment, services, and contingency measures.

It provides detailed training to develop the student’s ability to lead and respond to operational emergencies through excelling in leading their emergency response teams which cannot be achieved through any other qualification.

Entry requirements

Domestic Students

  • There are no mandated entry requirements.

A government issued photo identification and valid USI is required for course recognition.

All students must undertake a language, literacy, and numeracy test before commencement of this course to ascertain if support is required to assist students to successfully meet their goals.

RII30719 - Certificate III in Emergency Response & Rescue;

HLTAID014 - Provide Advanced First Aid;

Communicate in a clear manner with others;

Read and record measurements;

Record information legibly;

Read and comply with work instructions and specifications;

Long pants, closed heel and toe shoes on during face-to-face training days; and

The physical capacity to undertake the practical components of this role.
