Certificate IV in Disability Support
Nationally Recognised Vocational Education and Training (VET)The CHC43121 Certificate IV in Disability Support reflects the role of workers in a range of community settings and clients’ homes, who provide training and support in a manner that empowers people with disabilities to achieve greater levels of independence, self-reliance, community participation and well-being. Workers promote a person-centred approach, work without direct supervision and may be required to supervise and/or coordinate a small team.

Entry requirements
Domestic Students
- There are no mandated entry requirements.
Students must hold a:
- Completion of: CHC33021 Certificate III in Individual Support (Disability) OR
- Completion of: CHC33015 Certificate III in Individual Support (Disability) OR
- Completion of: CHC30408 Certificate III in Disability PLUS the CHCSS00125 Entry to Certificate IV in Disability Support Skill Set.
A proficient level of English is required, however your English level will be assessed on application.
Should be 18 years old or above
The ability to obtain a National Police Clearance
Be physically capable to undertake manual and the physical tasks required in this role including manual handling using equipment in an aged care setting.
Have the ability to communicate sensitively with a wide background of people
have personal attributes necessary including punctuality, personal hygiene and good presentation.
If you are undertaking HLTAID011 - PROVIDE FIRST AID training with us, please advise staff prior if you have problems with your back and knees or general mobility. First aid will require you to participate in physical activity which may aggregate existing injuries.

We specialise in training that is delivered in the workplace, and combine this with centralised classroom-based learning in our modern training facilities with visits to the workplace or communicating over the phone or emails to monitor the progress of students.
