Certificate IV in Disability Support
Nationally Recognised Vocational Education and Training (VET) This qualification reflects the role of individuals in a range of community settings and peoples’ homes, who provide support in a manner that empowers people with disabilities to achieve greater levels of independence, self-reliance, community participation and wellbeing. Workers promote a person-centred approach, work according to and may contribute to an individualised plan, and work without direct supervision. They may be required to supervise and/or coordinate a small team.Delivery mode

Entry requirements
Domestic Students
- There are no mandated entry requirements.
You must provide evidence that you have completed one of the following qualifications:
- Certificate III in Individual Support (Disability) CHC33015
- Certificate III in Individual Support (Ageing and Disability) CHC33021
- Certificate III in Disability CHC30408 and the Entry to Certificate IV in Disability Support Skill Set CHCSS00125.
As well as the above, you must provide evidence that you are currently working with a Disability Service Provider for a minimum of 12 hours a month.
Disability Service Employers require people to:
- Provide a clear Police Check or a NDIS Worker Screening Check. Where an organisation requires a NDIS Worker Screening Check, a Police check will not be required.This requirement is not negotiable. Industry will not accept learners without a clear record.
- Vaccinations for employment may also be required as per Victorian Government Guidelines for healthcare workers requirements as outlined on the Victorian Government Department of Health website.
