Certificate IV in Disability Support
Nationally Recognised Vocational Education and Training (VET)This qualification reflects the role of individuals in a range of community settings and peoples’ homes, who provide support in a manner that empowers people with disabilities to achieve greater levels of independence, self-reliance, community participation and wellbeing. Workers promote a person-centred approach, work according to and may contribute to an individualised plan, and work without direct supervision. They may be required to supervise and/or coordinate a small team.

On campus
Work with instructors and classmates in a supportive and collaborative environment.
Work Placement
Complete mandatory hands-on training in a workplace setting.

Entry requirements
Domestic Students
- There are no mandated entry requirements.
Completion of senior high school to the Australian Year 11 or equivalent
An English Language proficiency level of one of the below:
- Cert III in EAL or Academic IELTS band score of 6 or equivalent
- Satisfactorily completed ELICOS at to at least Upper Intermediate level
- Evidence as prescribed by the Department of Education, Skills and Employment
- Completed within the past 2 years in Australia: Requirements for senior secondary certificate of education
- Completed within the past 2 years in Australia: Substantial component of AQF level 4 or higher on a student visa
