Nationally Recognised Vocational Education and Training (VET)With the roll-out of the National Disability Insurance Scheme (NDIS), there are even greater opportunities to develop your rewarding career working in the disability sector. If you're passionate about empowerment, advocacy and inclusion, and want to extend your skills and knowledge of disability, this course is for you.
There are 10 units of competency to complete, with electives chosen by local disability services as being relevant to the needs of disability support workers.

Entry requirements
Domestic Students
- There are no mandated entry requirements.
All applicants are required to complete BSKB and must obtain exit level 3 in both literacy and numeracy (working at level 4)., Please note: Students need a valid Working with Children Check (volunteer), a clear national police check , identity check with ACIC and immunisations to be eligible to undertake practical placement., Students need to be able to complete manual tasks associated with therapy assistance and should have a proficient level of physical fitness to be able to complete the course, Students will be unable to successfully complete the course without completing placement.
