Work Placement

Students will need to complete work placement supervised by qualified staff. Students will attain real-world understandings of the expectations and skills required to work in this field to prepare you for the workforce.

Entry Requirements

During the course we will work with you to arrange a suitable venue(s) for work placement and if you meet our requirement will organise it on your behalf. At the end of the course, you will be expected to have completed a minimum of 180 hours of work placement so that we can assess ability to implement your training under working conditions.

To be able to attend the work placement it is a mandatory requirement from the placement facilities that students will need to have:

  • Obtained the relevant clearances and screening checks for that facility (e.g. DHS vulnerable person, Safe Environments for children and young people through their eyes, national police clearance etc)
  • Required vaccinations, set by the work placement partner, national & state governments.
  • Students are required to have HLTAID011 Provide First Aid, which can be studied with us.
