Nationally Recognised Vocational Education and Training (VET)Are you currently responsible for the supervision and management of offenders or detainees in the criminal justice system or immigration detention centres ? Upgrade your current qualifications by having your current skills recognised by Recognition of Prior Learning with the Gold Coast Training College. This course is only offered to current Correctional Officers and Detention Centre Officers in all states and territories of Australia.
This qualification allows for the attainment of general competencies and also specialisation in dog handling, supervision and leadership, case management, community or emergency response streams.
Candidates for this qualification will normally be employed in the supervision and management of offenders and detainees in the criminal justice system or within immigration detention centres, in Australian states and territories and/or offshore immigration detention centres.
