Certificate IV in Ageing Support
Nationally Recognised Vocational Education and Training (VET)The Certificate IV in Ageing Support prepares you to care for Australian seniors effectively in residential facilities and their homes, making real change in their lives.
This qualification reflects the role of workers in the community and / or residential setting who follow an individualised plan to provide person-centred support to people who may require support due to ageing, disability or some other reason.
Delivery mode

On campus
Work with instructors and classmates in a supportive and collaborative environment.
Work Placement
Complete mandatory hands-on training in a workplace setting.

Entry requirements
Domestic Students
- There are no mandated entry requirements.
- Minimum of IELTS 5.5 with no individual component score less than 5.0 or equivalent
- Over 18 years of age at the commencement of the course
- Pre-training review to assess individual needs and that the individual can demonstrate ACSF working level 3 for all indicators.
- Basic computer skills.
- A satisfactory National Police Check (NPC) and where a student has resided in another country from the age of 16, as a permanent resident or citizen, they will be required to provide a Statutory Declaration.
- Immunisation certificate – not all facilities have this as a mandatory requirement but students should be prepared to attain this immediately, if required.
