Certificate IV in Ageing Support
Nationally Recognised Vocational Education and Training (VET)This qualification reflects the role of workers in a community and/or residential setting who follow an individualised plan to provide person-centred support to people who may require support due to ageing, disability or some other reason.
You will gain a deep working knowledge of the aged care sector, develop your personal leadership style and get practical work experience in this high growth industry.
This course will offer increased career opportunities in aged and community care in roles such as an aged care team leader, home care support worker, community care worker, aged care worker or home care planner. A minimum of 120 hours work placement is required to complete this course which will be arranged by Chisholm Institute.

Complete mandatory hands-on training in a workplace setting.

Entry requirements
Domestic Students
- There are no mandated entry requirements.
Admission requirements are completion of BKSB assessment with an outcome of ACSF exit level 2 - working level 3, for both literacy and numeracy, Immunisations need to be up to date prior to placement, must be Seventeen (17) years and nine (9) months of age (18 to attend placement), Please note: Students will need a valid Working with Children Check (volunteer) and a clear national police check to undertake practical placement. Students will be unable to complete full course requirements without completing placement., Students need to be able to complete manual tasks associated with therapy assistance and should have a proficient level of physical fitness to be able to complete the course, Students will be unable to complete full course requirements without completing placement.
