Certificate IV in Ageing Support
Nationally Recognised Vocational Education and Training (VET)If you’re passionate about providing quality care to the elderly, the Certificate IV in Ageing support is the perfect, comprehensive qualification for you. In the course, students gain broad knowledge of elderly care, including specialized training for dementia, palliative care and assisting clients with medications. This qualification is perfect for both existing workers looking to upskill from a Certificate III level, or those looking to enter a career in the Aged Care sector.
With a Certificate IV in Ageing Support, you can work in roles such residential care or community support worker, or enter a role in a supervisory position within a care team such as care team leader or community support coordinator.

Entry requirements
Domestic Students
- There are no mandated entry requirements.
- Applicants are required to be 18 years old and above.
- Applicants are required to have successfully completed an ACSF test and demonstrate competence as working at Level 3 for all indicators.
- It is also essential for the student to possess basic computer skills.
Additional Requirements For Work Placement
- A satisfactory National Police Clearance / Australian Federal Police Clearance Certificate (AFP) / NCC will be required for all practical placements.
