The Certificate IV in Ageing Support is a nationally recognised qualification designed to prepare students for a rewarding career in the aged care industry. Covering a broad spectrum of topics, the course includes personal care for older individuals, supporting individuals living with dementia, developing and implementing service programs, promotion of independence and well-being, effective teamwork, communication with older individuals and their families, and compliance with relevant legislation and standards. Entry requirements

Domestic Students

  • There are no mandated entry requirements.
  • Students must obtain a volunteer Nationally Coordinated Criminal History Check (NCCHC) (commonly known as a police check) at their own expense. Please note, if there is a Disclosable Court Outcome on the record, we are unable to assist with placement, as industry partners require a clear record. In Victoria, this includes any offences by adults up to 10 years ago, and this requirement is non-negotiable.
  • Students must obtain a volunteer Working with Children Check at their own cost.
  • Students are required to obtain an NDIS Worker Screening Check at their own expense.
