This qualification reflects the role of support workers who complete specialised tasks and functions in aged services; either in residential, home or community-based environments.

Workers will take responsibility for their own outputs within defined organisation guidelines and maintain quality service through the development, facilitation and review of individualised service planning and delivery. Workers may be required to demonstrate leadership and have limited responsibility for the organization and the quantity and quality of outputs of others within limited parameters.

This was based on our strong growth and ability to attract international students to the Northern Territory of Australia. Our reputation as a quality educational facility was a contributing factor in this award. Alana Kaye College has been a finalist in the Northern Territory Training Awards in 2013, 2015 and 2018.

The College was also identified as the Centre of Excellence in the Northern Territory in providing training and assessment skills and/or qualifications by the Northern Territory Government.
