Are you working as a keeper within the exhibited animal industry and looking to up skill or gain a qualification?

Whether you’re working as a volunteer or in paid employment in zoos, wildlife parks, public aquariums or other facilities that house exhibited animals, our exhibited animals course will set you up for your career in the industry.

You’ll study and complete assessments online, and complete practicals at your work place.

Blended

Combine the flexibility of online learning with the support of on campus learning.

Work Placement

a minimum of 8 hours of work placement per week, in paid or volunteer work in  the same approved zoological animal facility for the duration of the course (pet shops are not a suitable placement facility) 

Entry requirements

Domestic Students

  • There are no mandated entry requirements.

You must have:

  • completed a minimum of Year 11 at secondary school 
  • applicants must have been working each week in the same approved zoological animal facility for at least 3 to 6 continuous months immediately before the course commencement, with no gaps in employment
