According to the Australian Government's Job Outlook service, the number of people working as performing arts technicians — including camera operators, lighting technicians, and sound technicians — grew very strongly over the past five years. Stable future growth is expected in this occupational area with employers looking for workers who are reliable, work well in a team, and have a strong work ethic.
Learn the practical skills and knowledge to create content for a range of media and visual design components, follow the design process, and develop and extend critical and creative thinking skills. Successful completion of this course will qualify you to work in a variety of roles as either a community radio programmer or presenter, camera and lighting assistant, sound technician, media professional, or web designer. It will also give you the core skills needed to undertake further study in the field.
