The Australian Institute of ICT (AIICT) Certificate III in Information Technology - Elective Focus Basic Cyber Security is designed to train tomorrow’s cyber security professionals today, to help meet the increasing demand for ICT professionals trained in this business-critical field.
Cyber security engineers are in high demand all over the world as organisations continue their journeys towards digital transformation. The US Bureau of Labor Statistics reports that demand for cyber security professionals is on the rise, and the industry will experience job growth of 31% between 2019 and 2029.
As organisations move applications and data to the cloud, increasing cyber security risks and threats require organisations to be constantly vigilant and prepared to thwart attacks, and have contingency and disaster recovery plans in place to protect IP and data. Cyber security engineers are tasked with identifying and responding to cyber security threats, implementing policies and procedures to protect valuable data and critical infrastructure, while also leading ICT projects and designing security architecture.
