Certificate III in Individual Support
Nationally Recognised Vocational Education and Training (VET)This Certificate III in Individual Support is for those who want to work in the community or in a residential setting, following a customised plan to give person-centred assistance to individuals who may need it due to ageing, disability or other circumstances.
Work involves using discretion and judgement in relation to individual support as well as taking responsibility for own outputs. Workers have a range of factual, technical and procedural knowledge, as well as some theoretical knowledge of the concepts and practices required to provide person-centred support.
Training Delivery
The Certificate III in Individual Support course is predominantly classroom based.
Students are provided with the following:
- Required course materials such as workbooks
- Access to computers and software during class
- Your student training plan
- A dedicated and qualified trainer
- Targeted assessment tools
Work Placement: 120 Hours

On campus
Work with instructors and classmates in a supportive and collaborative environment.

Entry requirements
Domestic Students
- There are no mandated entry requirements.
Students are required to provide their Unique Student Identifier (USI) which we can assist with, photo identification and meet the language, literacy and numeracy requirements.
Students are provided with the following:

Course fees
- WA Subsidised Training This training may be subsidised by the WA Government for eligible individuals. Places are limited.

About Industry Skills Training
Industry Skills Training (IST) RTO 40486 is a new and rapidly growing registered training organisation located in WA. It is a specialist registered training organisation (RTO) that has been delivering quality education by personnel that are highly skilled professionals with substantial knowledge through experience at the front line of the industry and education sectors. We deliver a growing scope of nationally recognised qualifications and training, and also provide pathways for those who are interested in furthering their studies.
