Certificate III in Health Services Assistance
Nationally Recognised Vocational Education and Training (VET)This course gives individuals a range of factual, technical and procedural knowledge to provide assistance to health professional staff for the care of patients.
This includes direct patient contact under supervision, supervise and coordinate a small team, clinical cleaning, food preparation and distribution, patient transport, assisting with movement, inventory, waste handling, handling of medical gas cylinders, and MET calls.

Entry requirements
Domestic Students
- There are no mandated entry requirements.
- Students must obtain a volunteer Nationally Coordinated Criminal History Check (NCCHC) (commonly known as a police check) at their own expense. Please note, if there is a Disclosable Court Outcome on the record, we are unable to assist with placement, as industry partners require a clear record. In Victoria, this includes any offences by adults up to 10 years ago, and this requirement is non-negotiable.
- Students must obtain a volunteer Working with Children Check at their own cost.
- Students are required to be able to access appropriate technology (including a computer). Students must have sufficient digital literacy. Further details will be discussed upon application

- VIC Subsidised Training This training may be subsidised by the VIC Government for eligible individuals. Places are limited.
