Certificate III in Engineering - Fabrication Trade (Surface finishing)
Nationally Recognised Vocational Education and Training (VET)Progress your career in engineering by becoming a trade qualified surface finisher. With growth in the industry, particularly in repair and maintenance work and bespoke product development, the technical skills of surface finishers will be in demand.
In this course you will gain the skills and knowledge required to alter the surface of manufactured items to achieve certain properties. You will be given the technical skills to improve appearance, adhesion or wettability of a range of surfaces and alter hardness, surface friction and electrical conductivity. You will also learn how to make surfaces resistant to corrosion, tarnish, wear or chemicals to improve their durability. Our industry-expert teachers will ensure you can apply your skills and knowledge to create or maintain and repair products and components to help you succeed.
Successful completion of this course will allow you to become a trade qualified surface finisher and progress your career in the engineering fabrication field.
