Certificate III in Dental Assisting (Traineeship)
Nationally Recognised Vocational Education and Training (VET)Combine work-based training as a workplace trainee in a dental practice and learn the theoretical elements with formal training from Chisholm.
Students must be employed in a dental practice and a training contract between the employer and the trainee is required prior to enrolment. Traineeships are a great way to be paid for work, learn and earn a qualification.
This qualification provides the knowledge and skills needed to assist a dentist, dental hygienist or dental therapist during all health care procedures. You will learn how to help maintain high standards of infection control and to assist with practice administration.
Chisholm offers flexible training options for students. Delivery can be provided completely in your own workplace via distance learning or on campus with evening classes offered remotely and at our Frankston campus.

Entry requirements
Domestic Students
- There are no mandated entry requirements.
All students must complete BSKB and must obtain exit level 3 in both literacy and numeracy (working at level 4)., Please note: students need a Valid Working with Children Check (volunteer) and a clear national police check, trainees must have a Registered Training Agreement with their employer.
