Suited to those with strong communication skills, a caring nature and a willingness to learn, a career in dental assisting presents a number of opportunities within the health sector.
This qualification reflects the role of workers who assist a dentist, dental hygienist, dental prosthetist, dental therapist or oral health therapist during oral health care procedures. Their role includes maintaining high standards of infection control, assisting with practice administration and supporting quality and professionalism in the dental sector.

- Have satisfactorily completed Year11 or equivalent.
- Demonstrate proficiency in English literacy and numeracy skill that meets industry requirements as a part of Certificate III in Dental Assisting Course. Refer to ALACC policy on English Language Proficiency.

About ALACC Health College
The ALACC Health College, Australia (ALACC) is a private Registered Training Organisation (RTO) that delivers Nationally Recognised Qualifications under the Australian Qualification Framework (AQF) levels. We are an aged care, nursing, community and allied health educational institution.
ALACC was founded by the Director - Dr Janet Lawrence who is well qualified and respected in her field of work in the Aged Care Industry. Our programs are delivered by well qualified and experienced trainers. ALACC attracts a large number of both local and international students from a variety of professional backgrounds. Several of ALACC students have progressed to undertake courses at the university, mainly courses related to nursing.
