Certificate II in Security Operations (NSW Class 1 Ace)
Nationally Recognised Vocational Education and Training (VET)To work in NSW as a Security Officer, new entrants will be required to complete the CPP20218 Certificate II in Security Operations and HLTAID011 Provide First Aid, comprising 14 Units of Competency. This is the new qualification which came into effect on 1 July 2020 with new requirements for the duration of the program.
The course covers the basic legal, operational and practical skills to start working in the manpower (Class 1) sector of the security industry. Upon successful completion of the course, candidates will be able to apply to SLED for their FULL NSW Class 1ACE security licence.

Entry requirements
Domestic Students
- There are no mandated entry requirements.
Be 18 years of age or over
Must have a current HLTAID011 Provide first aid certificate prior to enrolment
You must provide 100 Points of Identification upon enrolment
Be a fit and proper person to hold the class of licence sought
Meet prescribed Language, Literacy and Numeracy requirements, which includes completing a SLED Pre-Enrolment test at least one week prior to course commencement day.
Be an Australian/New Zealand citizen or permanent resident.
Must have a Driver Licence, Photo Card from Service NSW.
