Certificate II in Security Operations
Nationally Recognised Vocational Education and Training (VET)Certificate II in Security Operations is the minimum level for a security worker to be operational or “on the job” as required by the Licensing and Regulation Division (LRD) who are the regulators of security licenses in Victoria and issue security licenses. The Victorian Police website www.police.vic.gov.au shows that individuals who wish to apply for a security licence as an Unarmed Guard and/or a Crowd Controller must complete the units as stipulated in the Course Information booklet. Students are required to be competent in written and spoken English to gain entry to the course. A Pre-Training Review involving a language, literacy and numeracy assessment prior to enrollment to ensure the security course is appropriate for your individual needs.
