Bachelor of Social Science (Honours)
Nationally Recognised Higher EducationStudents who perform well, with a GPA of 5.0 or greater, during the Bachelor of Social Science program or equivalent program and/or relevant discipline major, may undertake a further year of full-time (or equivalent part-time) study to obtain an Honours degree. The Honours program allows students to further develop their specific areas of interest.

Domestic Students
- There are no mandated entry requirements.
Admission Requirements:
Eligibility for admission to this program is based on applicants having completed a Bachelor degree in a cognate area with a minimum GPA of 5.0:
- Across all studies undertaken within the program; or
- Across a major in the proposed area of study; or
- Across 80 units of 3000 level courses (which must include at least 40 units of 3000 level courses in the major where a major exists); or
- Where the applicant has completed less than 80 units at 3000 level, a GPA of 5.0 calculated from at least 60 units of 3000 level courses (which includes at least 40 units of 3000 level courses in the major where a major exists).
In exceptional circumstances, an application that does not meet the above requirements may be considered.
English Language Requirements:
All applicants must demonstrate that they meet the University’s English proficiency requirement.
