The Bachelor of Nursing prepares you for a career as a Registered Nurse, teaching you vital assessment and clinical decision making skills, and developing a person-centred, professional approach to care. A bachelor's degree in nursing allows you to work in healthcare, industry and community settings.

Delivered over three years through contemporary and evidence-based methods, this degree teaches foundational human biology and research practice, essential clinical knowledge and skills, as well as how to put patients first. Through your experience at our on-campus simulation hospital environment and 840 hours of clinical placements, you will develop the necessary skills and knowledge to register and confidently begin working across a variety of different healthcare and community settings. The Bachelor of Nursing Enrolled Nurse pathway allows you to enter our bachelor’s in Nursing in the second year, while other options for prerequisites for Bachelor of Nursing include at ATAR of 60 or work-life experience. *Main Intake 3 is reserved for those who have a completed (current) Diploma of Nursing and Registration with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA). Entry requirements

Domestic Students

  • There are no mandated entry requirements.

Before you begin your application to study as a domestic student, check that you meet the requirements listed below.

  • Australian Year 12 with ATAR 60 or equivalent or a completed Diploma of Nursing and registration with AHPRA; AND
  • All Domestic students must meet the minimum English Language standards set by the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Australia (NMBA) for initial course entry and registration. Students must provide evidence of meeting this standard prior to commencing study.
  • Inherent requirements include ethical behaviour, behavioural stability, legal, communication, cognition, sensory ability, and strength and mobility.

Applicants with higher education study

Successful completion of Diploma level (AQF Level 5 or equivalent) or above, qualification.

Applicants with work and life experience

Demonstrated ability to undertake study at the required level:

  • Broadly relevant work experience (documented e.g. CV), demonstrating a reasonable prospect of success; OR
  • Formal, informal or non-formal study, completed or partially completed, demonstrating a reasonable prospect of success; OR
  • Written submission to demonstrate reasonable prospect of success

English Language Proficiency

(applicable to internationalstudents, and in addition to academic or special entry equirements noted above)

IELTS (or equivalent) score of 7.0 minimum (Academic Module) or above, with no skills band less than 7.0.
