The University's Undergraduate Programs Admission Policy will apply.

This program is quota managed as there are a limited number of places available to ensure that sufficient resources are available to support the students. Meeting the admission requirements for this program may not result in an applicant receiving an admission offer.

Prior OP students: Applicants who graduated with an OP in or before 2019 can apply to Queensland Curriculum and Assessment Authority (QCAA) for an ATAR statement. For more information visit qcaa.qld.edu.au/senior/australian-tertiary-admission-rank-atar.

New Entry Requirements for 2025: Admission to the Bachelor of Midwifery is now determined by a sequential two-stage process, including the requirement to participate in an online interview.

Selection for admission to the Bachelor of Midwifery comprises two essential weighted components:

  • ATAR or its equivalent (minimum threshold applies), and;
  • Multiple Mini Interview (MMI).

All applicants will be required to undertake a Multiple Mini Interview. Applicants will be required to attend an online multi station interview in November 2024. The interviews will assess applicants' suitability based on the following factors:

  • Motivation to study and work in Midwifery;
  • Ethics, professional and non-judgemental behavior;
  • Communication, interpersonal skills and empathy;
  • Problem-solving, adaptability, and teamwork.

Once the minimum threshold ATAR is met MMIs will be assessed using objective criteria. Applicants will have an admission rank calculated from a combination of their weighted MMI score and academic ranking. Offers of places in the Bachelor of Midwifery program will then be made from the highest admission rank to the lowest until the available places have been allocated.
