Targeted at aspiring IT professionals, this cooperative education scholarship in computer information systems is a unique collaboration between UTS and leading industry partners. Choose this course for a competitive edge, as it offers a structured, industry-designed program with formal coursework delivered by professionals. This course is not offered to international students. Distinct from other co-op courses, you'll engage in two six-month industry placements, ensuring your skills align with real-world demands. With limited places tied to sponsor availability, successful candidates receive a substantial scholarship. You'll acquire a blend of business acumen and technical IT skills, preparing you to craft effective IT solutions for business challenges. Teaching methods include hands-on industry experience and formal coursework, fostering a practical learning environment. Upon completion, you'll be well-positioned for roles such as business analyst, systems analyst, and project manager, with many securing jobs before graduating. While sponsors often hire graduates, you're free to explore opportunities elsewhere.
There are a limited number of places available in this course according to the number of industry sponsors each year. If selected for this course, students receive a total scholarship of around $49,500 for the duration of the course.

Entry requirements
Domestic Students
- Completed Diploma (AQF Level 5) AND
- Completed Year 12 (ATAR optional) with ATAR 85.00 or equivalent AND
- IELTS score of 6.50 or TOEFL iBT score of 79.00 or PTE score of 58.00 or its equivalent AND
- Assumed knowledge: HSC Mathematics Advanced and any two units of English.
Mathematics Extension 1 and English Advanced are recommended.
