Nationally Recognised Higher EducationThe honours program in Indonesian aims to allow undergraduate students who have achieved a high academic standard to undertake advanced studies and independent research in the field of Indonesian language and culture, deepen students' knowledge and understanding of a range of core relevant analytical and conceptual frameworks, instil a higher level of awareness in students about the key political, social, economic, and cultural factors and relationships within Indonesia and Asia, and between Australia and the Asian region and facilitate on behalf of those students wishing to undertake Honours-level research in Indonesia, the opportunity to undertake the Australian University Indonesian In-Country program (ACICIS). Students will also have a opportunity to choose to engage with the community of speakers of their language of study through a Work Integrated Learning activity.

Entry requirements
Entry into one-year Honours is highly competitive. If you have demonstrated academic excellence (a Grade Point Average of 5.25 or above) during your bachelor degree you are invited to apply for Honours.
English language requirements
- IELTS (Academic): 6.0 Overall with 6.0 Speaking, 6.0 Writing
- TOEFL (Internet): 72 Total score with 18 Speaking, 21 Writing
- Pearson (PTE Academic): 50 Overall with 50 Writing, 50 Speaking
- Cambridge C1 Advanced: 169 Overall with 169 Writing, 169 Speaking
