Bachelor of Arts (Archaeology)
Nationally Recognised Higher EducationLearn first-hand about archaeological methods and techniques. You'll develop skills in field survey and excavation, materials analysis, and interpreting archaeological collections and sites. You’ll also have access to our Archaeology Lab and Archaeology Teaching and Research Centre (ATARC), Australia’s largest integrated teaching and research facility. Your practical skills will prepare you for a global profession. Follow your passion to work in museums, cultural centres, agencies, law enforcement, government departments, or educational and research institutions. You could study Discovering Archaeology, Doing Archaeology, Predicting the Past, and Australasian Archaeology.

Our subject prerequisites are listed as Queensland Year 12 General subjects, but you can also meet them by passing equivalent subjects through:
- Australian high school, including Queensland Senior, interstate Year 12 or International Baccalaureate (IB)
- Overseas high school or International Baccalaureate (IB)
- Tertiary study, including university subjects, and bridging and preparatory programs./li>
- Queensland Year 12 (or equivalent)
- General English subject (Units 3 & 4, C)
- IB 24.5 & AQF Level 7
