The MARO011 Transmit and Receive Information by the Global Maritime Distress and Safety System (GMDSS) provides the skills and knowledge required to operate GMDSS equipment in line with STCW Reg IV/2. Participants are trained to respond swiftly to distress incidents and assist in coordinated search and rescue operations. The course covers digital selective calling techniques, MF, HF, and VHF radiotelephone communication, HF radio telex, and satellite communication using INMARSAT-C ship earth stations.
