The UEPOPS116 Operate local H.V. switchgear course provides participants with knowledge of Victorian rail signalling high-voltage systems and the procedures required to carry out switching tasks. This unit covers the skills needed to operate high-voltage switchgear devices, which control, protect and isolate electrical equipment. Participants will learn to plan and prepare work, conduct switching operations, check switchgear integrity and complete documentation.
