The PUAOPE004 Manage the Intelligence Function at an Incident involves coordinating the collection, analysis, and dissemination of intelligence to support decision-making during an incident. Intelligence Officers collect, interpret, and analyse various types of information, use mathematical models, and communicate findings in multiple formats. They support the Incident Controller and the Incident Management Team. Typically, the Intelligence Unit operates within the Planning Section, but may be expanded to a dedicated section if necessary, under organisational policies and procedures.
