Water Treatment Technician

A Water Treatment Technician performs specialist tasks at a water or wastewater treatment facility. You might be involved in water quality testing, chemical application or the use of filtration, agitation or other purification equipment. Water Treatment Technicians may analyse test data, present their findings or come up with solutions to water quality issues.

Water Treatment Technicians often develop technical skills specific to their area of water treatment. It’s important you can communicate well and be part of a larger team. Water Treatment Technicians should be good problem solvers and have excellent attention to detail. You might work irregular hours or be on call when required.
