Textile Designer

A Textile Designer creates fabric and textile products. You might produce new designs and experiment with different colours and materials. Textile Designers may produce individual pieces or create work in large quantities. You might use a range of methods to create your textiles or specialise in a particular technique.

Textile Designers should be passionate about their craft and have excellent technical skills. You’ll need to be creative and able to market your product. Textile Designers should be able to manage their time well and may have to work to a deadline. You’ll need to be a good communicator and be able to liaise with suppliers and customers.
