A Salon Assistant provides services to clients in a hair salon. You might greet customers as they arrive and discuss available treatments with them. Salon Assistants might provide services such as hair washing or styling or you might help to keep the salon clean and tidy. You might also answer phone calls, make appointments and respond to customer enquiries.

Salon Assistants should be flexible and be able to follow instructions. It’s important that you have good personal skills and can provide excellent customer service. Salon Assistants need to communicate well with a range of clients. You should be able to manage your time well and prioritise your tasks.
