Pre-Press Operator

A Pre-Press Operator prepares text, images and graphics ready for printing in a range of formats. You might use software to prepare printing material or use equipment such as plate-making tools during the printing process. Pre-Press Operators may design layouts and check printed proofs for quality.

Pre-Press Operators should have strong attention to detail and a focus on print quality. It’s important that you can communicate well and work as part of a team. Pre-Press Operators must be able to follow correct procedures and work with given instructions. Depending on your job role, you may have to work irregular hours.
