Optical Dispenser

An Optical Dispenser fits and prepares optical pieces such as glasses or vision aides. You might prepare lenses according to a prescription or fit them into a pair of frames. Optical Dispensers may also fit frames to customers’ faces and make any necessary repairs or adjustments. Optical Dispensers may also assist clients with other products such as contact lenses or liquid eye care solutions.

Optical Dispensers should have good fine motor skills and excellent attention to detail. You’ll need strong customer service skills and should be able to communicate well with clients. Optical Dispensers should be able to work well in a team environment and follow correct procedures.
