An Engineering Patternmaker creates patterns for the production of materials in a range of industries. You’ll work with plans and specifications and make accurate measurements to mark out patterns. Engineering Patternmakers may use materials including wood, polystyrene and polymers. You might work across a range of fields or focus on a specific industry such as aircraft or automotive vehicles.

Engineering Patternmakers should have excellent technical skills and strong attention to detail. You’ll need be flexible and able to adapt your skills to suit a range of circumstances. Engineering Patternmakers must be safety focused and able to work as part of a team. It’s important you can perform your work accurately.
