A Dump Truck Operator drives a dump truck in a range of industries including mining or quarrying. You’ll be part of a production team and your role may including moving ore, rock or other mining materials such as coal. Dump Truck Operators transport materials around a mine site from mining pits to processing areas.

Dump Truck Operators should have strong technical skills and be able to follow a production schedule. You’ll need to be safety focused and be able to work well in a team. Dump Truck Operators may be required to work a range of shifts including nights and weekends. Depending on your role, you may have to travel or work away from home.
