Database Administrators specialise in data management and ensure that an organisation’s databases are secure and run efficiently. They work for libraries, universities and schools with large databases, financial institutions, healthcare facilities, insurance companies, and private corporations with big data.

As a Database Administrator you’ll be adding new users, managing access permissions and passwords, merging old databases, running updates and optimising database speed and overall usability. You may also be providing training and support to system users.
